Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive mono-black Zombie aristocrats and token swarm strategy commanded by Ghoulcaller Gisa. The deck's primary innovation is pairing Gisa with drastically undercosted, high-power creatures such as Rotting Regisaur, Kalakscion, Hunger Tyrant, Relic Golem, and Bygone Colossus. By casting these large bodies on early turns and sacrificing them to Gisa on Turn 5, the deck instantly generates 7 to 9 2/2 Zombie tokens in a single activation. Once this army is assembled, the deck pivots into lethal pressure using tribal anthems like Undead Warchief and Death Baron, asymmetric creature suppression through Noxious Ghoul, and aristocrat drain effects from Ayara, First of Locthwain, Plague Belcher, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel. The deck recovers effectively from disruption through robust reanimation spells like Victimize and Dread Return, maintaining relentless board pressure.
