Ian Malcolm, You've heard of chaos theory? by user9476005

Format: Commander

Commander: Ian Malcolm, Chaotician

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Built around Ian Malcolm's second-draw trigger, this Izzet deck uses symmetrical draw effects to exile the top of everyone's library and then cast the best opposing cards from exile with flexible mana. The Locust God acts as a hidden commander, converting every drawn card into a hasty flyer, while Flaming Tyrannosaurus and Passionate Archaeologist punish cast-from-exile plays. Chaos spells such as Warp World, Scrambleverse, and Whims of the Fates reset the board before Insurrection or an insect swarm closes the game. It is a slow, group-hug-forward value deck that relies on opponents' draws and boards more than a deterministic combo.
