Deck overview

This deck leverages Gorma, the Gullet to blend classic Golgari aristocrats sacrifice engines with rapid +1/+1 counter scaling. The early turns prioritize deploying recursive fodder like Jadar, Ghoulcaller of Nephalia, Bloodghast, and Ophiomancer alongside cheap sacrifice outlets. Once Gorma lands, every sacrificed creature fuels both your commander's stats and subsequent nontoken entries, creating massive board pressure with lifelink. Midgame play shifts into oppressive resource denial through Grave Pact and Butcher of Malakir, starving opponents of blockers and key creatures while generating substantial card advantage via Smothering Abomination and Moldervine Reclamation. Without dedicated tutors, the deck relies on steady card draw to dig into potent finishers such as Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord and Defiling Daemogoth, draining all three opponents simultaneously. While weak to exile-based sweepers and stack interaction, the deck presents high durability and steady momentum.
