Deck overview

This is a mono-black aristocrats/reanimator deck helmed by Shadowheart, Dark Justiciar with the Haunted One background. The core loop is sacrificing creatures for value - Shadowheart turns any high-power creature into a burst of cards, while Haunted One grants Elves and Clerics +2/+0 and undying whenever she taps, enabling recursive sacrifice chains. A dense drain package (Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Bastion of Remembrance, Syr Konrad, the Grim) converts every death into life loss, and a robust reanimation suite (Victimize, Animate Dead, Dread Return) re-buys key pieces like Gray Merchant of Asphodel. The deck closes games through incremental drain, a big Exsanguinate, or a Bolas's Citadel chain. It is a grindy, value-dense midrange deck that wins through attrition rather than a single fast combo.
