Deck overview

Mendicant Core, Guidelight pilots an aggressive Azorius artifact engine that combines low-curve ramp, cost reduction, and explosive token generation. The deck establishes early mana velocity through artifact lands, mana rocks, and cost reducers like Etherium Sculptor and Foundry Inspector. Once assembled, the commander accelerates speed counters through regular combat, copying artifact spells at maximum speed to flood the battlefield. The primary win condition leverages wide artifact boards through mass animation or tall beaters, notably Cyberdrive Awakener, Kappa Cannoneer, and Simulacrum Synthesizer, closing games across one or two decisive combat rotations. The deck also includes a compact infinite colorless mana combo in Basalt Monolith and Rings of Brighthearth. Robust card draw from Vedalken Archmage and affinity spells maintains momentum, while asymmetric sweepers like Organic Extinction and Desynchronization clear opposing boards without disrupting historic permanents. It offers resilient artifact stompy gameplay backed by strong protection and recursion.
