Deck overview

This Gruul Voltron and Stompy deck leverages Wolverine, Best There Is to deal lethal commander damage in single attacks. Because Wolverine doubles all damage he deals, reaching 11 power achieves the 22-damage threshold needed to eliminate an opponent in one strike. The deck accelerates in the opening turns with efficient land-ramp sorceries and mana rocks, establishing Wolverine on Turn 2 or 3. It then layers power doublers, +1/+1 counter engines, and trample enablers such as Xenagos, God of Revels, Innkeeper's Talent, and Berserk to threaten lethal damage by Turn 5. High-power draw engines like Elemental Bond and Tribute to the World Tree keep cards flowing, while Heroic Intervention and Tyvar's Stand shield key threats from removal.
