Deck overview

This deck is a Bant +1/+1 counters midrange strategy led by Tidus, Yuna's Guardian. The game plan revolves around deploying low-cost creatures that generate or benefit from counters, casting Tidus on Turn 3, and using combat damage triggers to draw cards and proliferate counters across the board. The engine accelerates rapidly into the midgame through powerful synergy pieces like Hardened Scales, Forgotten Ancient, and Maester Seymour. As the board grows, the deck translates counter accumulation into lethal combat steps via evasion and damage doublers such as Chocobo Knights, Sphere Grid, Duskshell Crawler, and Rikku, Resourceful Guardian. Board control is reinforced with asymmetric sweepers like Damning Verdict, which clears opposing creatures while leaving modified threats intact. Protection spells such as Inspiring Call and Luminous Broodmoth shield key assets from mass destruction.
