Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive, synergistic Abzan token swarm strategy helmed by Olag and Miau, New Friends. It blends Cat and Zombie typings to maximize power on both combat and end-step axes. Early turns establish mana acceleration and low-cost tribal bodies like Ocelot Pride, Cryptbreaker, and Arahbo, the First Fang. Once the commander enters on turn 4, each entering Cat or Zombie places +1/+1 counters on the opposite tribe, while attacking tapped creatures trigger asymmetric end-step life drain against all opponents. On turns 5 and 6, the deck escalates into lethal damage using mass token generators, Cathars' Crusade, Jazal Goldmane, or Craterhoof Behemoth. The list features robust single-target removal, potent permanent suppression through Aura Shards, and premier defensive shielding in Grand Abolisher, Teferi's Protection, and Heroic Intervention to protect its board state until victory.
