Commander: Jodah, Archmage Eternal

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Jodah, Archmage Eternal is a single-face, five-color engine commander, and this list has no hidden commander. Jodah's main job is the alternative-cost payment: you pay {W}{U}{B}{R}{G} instead of the full mana cost of expensive spells. The primary plan is to fix into all five colors, cast Jodah, then abuse the same payment on cards like Reshape the Earth, Conflux, and Maelstrom Wanderer. The fastest clear finish is Reshape the Earth fetching Maze's End plus nine other differently named Gates. Secondary paths are cascade chains into large hasty creatures, Ultimatum card advantage, and free-cast planeswalkers. Fist of Suns and Leyline of Mutation serve as backup copies of Jodah's ability.
