Deck overview

Greven, Predator Captain is a life-as-resource Rakdos deck that turns life loss into damage, mana, and cards. Greven grows by life lost and sacrifices creatures to draw, while Rowan, Scion of War, Treasonous Ogre, and Unspeakable Symbol convert life into mana and cost reduction. The primary plan is to make Greven lethal in one attack, often with Hatred or Chandra's Ignition and Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar to hit all opponents. Secondary paths are drain loops with Bloodthirsty Conqueror, Enduring Tenacity, Exquisite Blood, and Vito that go infinite once Volcano Hellion or any life-loss trigger starts the cycle. Rowan acts as a hidden commander that enables huge Exsanguinate and Gray Merchant finishes.
