Deck overview

This Dimir Poison deck piloted by Venser, Corpse Puppet uses an aggressive infect and proliferate strategy to eliminate all three opponents simultaneously. The deck aims to infect each opponent early with global poison enablers like Ichor Rats and Prologue to Phyresis or evasive attackers like Blighted Agent. Once all opponents are poisoned, the deck deploys compounding proliferation engines such as Inexorable Tide, Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus, and Flux Channeler to rapidly advance poison counters to ten. Venser, Corpse Puppet provides continuous board presence by creating 3/3 Hollow Sentinel tokens and giving them flying and lifelink with each proliferation trigger. The deck can also execute an infinite proliferate combo using Throne of Geth, Dross Scorpion, and Venser. Supported by a robust suite of cheap counterspells, efficient black removal, and proactive stax pieces like Opposition Agent and Narset, Parter of Veils, the deck reliably protects its engines and closes games around Turn 7.
