Bracket: 3

Deck overview

A Golgari Snake/assassin deck that combines cheap deathtouch bodies into a critical mass, then converts chip damage into poison, life drain, and half-life triggers. Aphelia is the primary engine: her attack trigger produces Snake tokens, and her {4}{B} ability lets any Snake or Gorgon hit halve an opponent's life. Fynn, Hooded Blightfang, and Seshiro the Anointed are the force multipliers; Quietus Spike and Vorpal Sword are alternate one-hit kill lines. Recursive creatures and modest draw help grind, but the deck is soft to mass removal and lacks free countermagic; it is more resilient to single-target removal.
