Thranduil Legendary Elves by DaMightNinja

Format: Commander

Commander: Thranduil, the Elvenking

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Sultai Elf-tribal value deck helmed by Thranduil, the Elvenking. The commander's first ability grants him every activated ability of Elf cards in the graveyard - turning Marwyn, the Nurturer into a mana battery, Lathril, Blade of the Elves into a 10-life drain, and Ezuri, Renegade Leader into an overrun - while his second ability draws two cards (discarding one) for every legendary Elf that enters. With roughly thirty legendary Elves in the 99, every cast chains into more cards and more board presence. The primary win is combat: a critical mass of Elves pumped by Coat of Arms, Banner of Kinship, Dwynen, Gilt-Leaf Daen, or Ezuri's overrun, with Finale of Devastation for X=10 as the haste-overrun finisher. Lathril's drain ability, usable through Thranduil from the graveyard, is a secondary non-combat path.
