Deck overview

This deck is a mono-blue artifact and Vehicle aggro-midrange deck commanded by Katsumasa, the Animator. The primary strategy focuses on deploying undercosted, high-stat Vehicles such as Consulate Dreadnought, Smuggler's Copter, and Reaver Titan, then utilizing Katsumasa's activated ability to bypass traditional crew costs and grant these behemoths flying. Katsumasa's upkeep trigger steadily accumulates +1/+1 counters on noncreature artifacts, scaling board presence without exposing creatures to sorcery-speed creature board wipes. Mana acceleration from cheap rocks, cost-reducers like Etherium Sculptor, and affinity/improvise enablers allows the deck to establish its operational board by Turn 4 and launch critical pressure by Turn 5. A robust suite of low-cost countermagic, phasing protection from Ripples of Potential, and hexproof enablers like Padeem, Consul of Innovation defend the board against opposing interaction. As an alternate win condition, the deck packs an infinite colorless mana combo with Basalt Monolith and Rings of Brighthearth to close out games using Walking Ballista.
