World Shaper 3.3 by limitedroark

Format: Commander

Commander: Szarel, Genesis Shepherd

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Szarel, Genesis Shepherd leads a Jund lands-from-graveyard deck that treats lands as disposable resources. The primary plan is to play extra lands each turn, sacrifice them to mana/draw/pump triggers, then replay them from the graveyard using Szarel, Crucible of Worlds, Ramunap Excavator, or Ancient Greenwarden. The Gitrog Monster is the hidden commander, turning each sacrificed land into a card. Landfall payoffs such as Scute Swarm, Rampaging Baloths, Omnath, and Ancient Greenwarden create an overwhelming board, while Mazirek and Szarel convert sacrifices into +1/+1 counters. The finish is a giant trampling Mossborn Hydra or a Moraug extra-combat turn after Scapeshift/Splendid Reclamation, often made unblockable by Filth plus Urborg.
