Deck overview

This list is a competitive Izzet spellslinger storm deck commanded by Vivi Ornitier. The primary game plan converts noncreature casts into lethal table-wide burn and card advantage by attaching Curiosity, Ophidian Eye, or Tandem Lookout to Vivi. Because Vivi deals one damage to each opponent whenever a noncreature spell is cast, each cheap cantrip or ritual draws three cards. The pilot chains 0-mana and 1-mana spells, generates explosive mana with Vivi's activated ability and rituals, and burns the entire table out in a single turn. Backup win conditions include Underworld Breach loops with Brain Freeze and Grapeshot, the Quicksilver Elemental infinite mana combo, and Niv-Mizzet, Parun. A suite of free countermagic (Force of Will, Fierce Guardianship, Deflecting Swat) protects the combo turn against opposing interaction.
