Deck overview

This deck is a mono-blue control strategy that combines stun counters, proliferate engines, and asymmetric land disruption. Led by Lulu, Stern Guardian, the deck deters incoming attacks by placing stun counters on opposing creatures and using its built-in proliferate ability to keep those threats tapped indefinitely. The deck breaks parity on powerful mana-denial pieces like Back to Basics and Harbinger of the Seas by running 37 basic Islands, severely slowing down multi-color opponents. Its primary route to victory involves seeding poison counters across the table using Prologue to Phyresis or Blighted Agent, then compounding proliferate triggers through Inexorable Tide, Flux Channeler, Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus, and Radstorm. An alternate win condition exists in Darksteel Reactor, which quickly accumulates charge counters under repeated proliferation. While the deck boasts robust stack interaction with nine counterspells, its clock requires multiple turns of permanent survival to close games.
