Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir Ninjutsu cheat and tempo-control strategy commanded by Satoru Umezawa. The primary game plan deploys low-cost, unblockable creatures on turn one, casts Satoru on turn three, and uses his universal ninjutsu grant to cheat massive, game-warping threats onto the battlefield tapped and attacking on turn four. Cheating in Ancient Silver Dragon provides an immediate burst of card advantage, while Archon of Cruelty inflicts severe asymmetric attrition across opponents' boards and life totals. Supported by an efficient suite of one-mana and free counterspells like Force of Negation, Swan Song, and An Offer You Can't Refuse, the deck reliably protects its combat step and commander. Once an insurmountable card and resource advantage is secured, the deck closes the game rapidly on turn five through compact combo lines such as Doomsday into Thassa's Oracle or an infinite extra-turn engine with Panoptic Mirror and Time Warp.
