Deck overview

This Rakdos deck centers on The Infamous Cruelclaw, utilizing its combat damage trigger to bypass mana costs and cheat formidable high-mana-value permanents directly into play. The strategy relies on early setup with cheap evasion artifacts like Brotherhood Regalia and Thieves' Tools to ensure Cruelclaw reliably connects on Turn 4. Once operational, each unblocked attack exiles cards until hitting a nonland spell, converting a single discarded card into game-ending threats such as Drakuseth, Maw of Flames, Etali, Primal Storm, Kaervek the Merciless, or Doomsday Excruciator. While the list features explosive tempo swings and substantial late-game combat pressure, it is constrained by a vulnerability to well-timed spot removal, reliance on combat connections, and the non-deterministic nature of blind top-deck triggers.
