Deck overview

This deck is a five-color spellslinger combo deck piloted by Codie, Ravenous Codex and built around the prepare mechanic. It utilizes cheap mana dorks and multi-color powerhouses like Bloom Tender and Faeburrow Elder to accelerate its curve. Once Codie is established on Turn 4, the deck leverages Codie's ability to copy prepared spells and re-prepare creatures en masse. The primary win condition revolves around untap and storm engines such as Jeskai Ascendancy, Storm-Kiln Artist, and Song of Creation. By generating large quantities of mana and repeatedly preparing creatures, the deck chains through its library and finishes the game on Turn 5 through lethal burn loops using Emeritus of Conflict // Lightning Bolt or drain loops with Leech Collector // Bloodletting. It is backed by a robust interaction suite and targeted protection.
