Deck overview

This Commander deck is an optimized five-color tribal stompy list commanded by The Ur-Dragon. The strategy leverages the commander's eminence ability to discount dragon spells from the command zone, allowing early acceleration into massive flying threats. Low-cost mana dorks and land ramp establish 5–6 mana by Turn 4, setting up engine pieces like Dragon Tempest, Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm, or Sarkhan, Soul Aflame. On Turn 5, explosive plays such as Hellkite Courser cheating The Ur-Dragon into combat trigger substantial card draw and free permanent deployment. The deck rapidly converts board presence into game-ending damage through direct ETB burn from Scourge of Valkas and Terror of the Peaks, alongside token multiplication from Utvara Hellkite. High-efficiency protection spells like Silence, Pact of Negation, and uncounterable land effects shield critical turns, letting the deck eliminate the entire table on Turn 6.
