Deck overview

Animar is a creature-combo/value deck that accelerates with mana dorks, lands Animar early, and uses its counter-based discount to chain cheap creature spells. The main win is the Ancestral Statue loop: once Animar has four counters, Statue is free and can bounce itself repeatedly, growing Animar and drawing via Beast Whisperer/Soul of the Harvest. Purphoros, Impact Tremors, Terror of the Peaks, or a huge Walking Ballista convert the loop into a kill. Food Chain adds a second engine that turns the Statue loop into infinite mana. The deck also has a beatdown backup of Ghalta/Kozilek and a robust toolbox of tutors and interaction. There is no hidden commander; the deck is built entirely around Animar.
