Commander: Sauron, the Dark Lord

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Grixis reanimator deck built around Sauron, the Dark Lord. The plan is to fill the graveyard with the format's scariest demons - Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur, Toxrill, the Corrosive, Sheoldred, Whispering One, Lord Xander, the Collector - using looting, Entomb, and Buried Alive, then cheat them into play with a dense reanimation package anchored by Reanimate, Animate Dead, Necromancy, and Living Death. Sauron adds a second axis: every opponent spell amasses an Orc Army, and when the Army connects, the Ring tempts you, letting Sauron discard his hand to draw four. Call of the Ring and Sauron, Lord of the Rings reinforce the amass/ring subtheme. The deck wins through overwhelming board advantage - either an early Jin-Gitaxias lock or the mass-reanimation bombs Rise of the Dark Realms, Breach the Multiverse, and Living Death putting an entire graveyard into play. It is a midrange value/reanimator strategy with no true combo finish; its endgame is inevitability through recursion and answer density.
