Deck overview

This deck is a Bant +1/+1 counters midrange build led by Tidus, Yuna's Guardian. The game plan revolves around deploying efficient early creatures, placing counters, and using Tidus's Cheer ability to draw cards and proliferate each turn. Scaling engines such as Hardened Scales, The Earth Crystal, and Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus accelerate counter growth across the board. The deck transitions into the late game by granting evasion and combat multipliers through cards like Duskshell Crawler, Sphere Grid, and Chocobo Knights, or by clearing opposing blockers with an asymmetric Damning Verdict. High-end threats like Sin, Unending Cataclysm and Maester Seymour convert wide boards into massive lethal attackers. Protection elements like Inspiring Call, Protection Magic, and Resourceful Defense ensure counter investments survive opposing interaction, grinding out a combat victory over 8 turns.
