Cheap Infect by sadlygoodid

Format: Commander

Commander: Ixhel, Scion of Atraxa

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a WBG Phyrexian poison/infect deck helmed by Ixhel, Scion of Atraxa. The primary game plan is to deploy a swarm of cheap toxic and infect creatures, spread poison counters across all three opponents, and accelerate the clock with a dense proliferate package (Karn's Bastion, Contagion Clasp, Evolution Sage, Grateful Apparition). Ixhel adds toxic 2 and, once opponents reach three poison counters, her corrupted ability exiles their top cards for you to cast - a steady card-advantage engine. The deck also carries a compact infinite combo package: Melira, Sylvok Outcast plus the persist creature Safehold Elite and any sacrifice outlet (Ashnod's Altar, Carrion Feeder, Viscera Seer) generates infinite mana, an infinitely large attacker, or infinite proliferate. Triumph of the Hordes serves as a one-shot poison finisher. Secondary wins come from commander damage via Ixhel's flying and from grinding opponents out with corrupted card advantage.
