Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Grixis control and burn strategy commanded by Kefka, Court Mage. The game plan revolves around leveraging symmetric discard to strip opponent resources while turning those discards into massive card advantage and mana generation. Early turns focus on establishing mana rocks and wizard synergy pieces such as Harmonic Prodigy, Waste Not, and Vivi Ornitier. Once Kefka enters the battlefield on Turn 4, it refills the hand immediately and continues applying pressure on subsequent attack steps. The deck converts card velocity into a lethal clock using noncreature burn pingers like Coruscation Mage and Black Waltz No. 3, amplified by Trance Kuja, Fate Defied. Opponents are kept off balance through efficient free interaction like Deflecting Swat and Fierce Guardianship alongside crippling hand disruption. The deck closes games around Turn 7 via storm-like burn turns or sweeping reanimation with Rise of the Dark Realms.
