Celes, Rune Knight

Format: Commander

Commander: Celes, Rune Knight

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Celes, Rune Knight leads a Mardu graveyard-combo deck centered on reanimation and persist synergies. When Celes enters the battlefield, she filters your hand into the graveyard while drawing fresh cards. Her secondary ability places a plus-one/plus-one counter on your entire team whenever a creature enters from the graveyard, naturally neutralizing minus-one/minus-one counters from persist creatures like Murderous Redcap and Putrid Goblin. Combined with sacrifice outlets like Warren Soultrader and payoff drains like Blood Artist or Mayhem Devil, this creates lethal infinite loops. Alternatively, the deck can pivot to explosive mid-game reanimation, overwhelming opponents with large, counter-buffed boards and recursive combat threats.
