Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Rakdos battlecruiser deck commanded by Akul the Unrepentant. Its primary game plan revolves around deploying inexpensive creature token generators across the opening turns—such as Hordeling Outburst, Sengir Autocrat, and Jadar, Ghoulcaller of Nephalia—to provide the necessary fuel for Akul. Upon casting Akul on Turn 4, the deck immediately sacrifices three creatures to bypass massive mana costs, putting terrifying flying threats like Utvara Hellkite, Lathliss, Dragon Queen, and Drakuseth, Maw of Flames directly onto the battlefield. Backed by aristocrat pingers like Blood Artist and Bastion of Remembrance, every creature lost chips away at opponent life totals. The deck applies overwhelming aerial pressure starting on Turn 5 and closes the game through compounded combat damage and dragon swarm triggers by Turn 7.
