Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Rakdos spellslinger and burn strategy helmed by Kuja, Genome Sorcerer, built to turn Wizard tribal density and noncreature spellcasting into lethal table-wide damage. The early game focuses on deploying low-curve acceleration and auxiliary Wizards such as Coruscation Mage and Harmonic Prodigy before resolving Kuja. Kuja rapidly builds a board of Wizard ping tokens at each end step. Once four Wizards are present, Kuja transforms into Trance Kuja, Fate Defied, statically doubling all damage dealt by Wizards. When combined with additional damage multipliers like Tor Wauki the Younger, Artist's Talent, or City on Fire, standard sequences of cantrips, rituals, and removal spells deal devastating noncombat damage to all opponents simultaneously. While the deck possesses ordinary vulnerability to mass creature sweepers and lacks enchantment removal, its high density of interchangeable pingers and burst draw engines allows it to close games rapidly within a single response cycle.
