Deck overview

This is a Grixis spellslinger deck built around Saruman, the White Hand, turning every noncreature spell into an amass trigger. The deck combines a Wizard cost-reduction package - Goblin Electromancer, Nightscape Familiar, Mizzix of the Izmagnus - with amass payoffs and then converts the resulting Army into a table kill through Chandra's Ignition, Gravitic Punch, or All Will Be One. Value engines such as Kess, Dissident Mage, Storm-Kiln Artist, and Thousand-Year Storm provide recursion, mana, and spell copies, while Isochron Scepter plus Dramatic Reversal offers a compact infinite loop. This is a mid-speed deck that wants to assemble one huge Army or chain spells into a burn finish rather than present an early combo kill. Kess and Mizzix effectively act as hidden commanders if Saruman is answered.
