Deck overview

This deck wins by turning early mana creatures into oversized green creatures, then using Ghalta, Primal Hunger as an efficient 12-power trampler. Goreclaw, Terror of Qal Sisma, Rhonas's Monument, and Rishkar, Peema Renegade improve mana efficiency, while Garruk's Uprising, Elemental Bond, Beast Whisperer, and Garruk's Packleader keep cards flowing as creatures enter. The main pressure package is Ghalta, Primal Hunger, several large creatures, and either Overwhelming Stampede or Unnatural Growth. It usually produces a must-answer board around turn 7, but the combat route needs multiple attacks to eliminate all three opponents. Interaction is mainly permanent removal and creature fighting, with very little stack coverage. Carnage Tyrant, Dungrove Elder, Swiftfoot Boots, and Tamiyo's Safekeeping help against targeted answers, but sweepers, exile, bounce, and counterspells remain serious problems. The deck is strongest when it curves ramp into a draw engine and several large creatures.
