Ride the Ramos by HHHvoid

Format: Commander

Commander: Ramos, Dragon Engine

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Ramos, Dragon Engine leads a five-color cascade battlecruiser with no infinite combos. The deck wins by chaining cascade triggers into free spells and large creatures, then finishing with combat. Maelstrom Nexus, Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder, Imoti, Celebrant of Bounty and Averna, the Chaos Bloom provide the cascade engine, while Apex Devastator, Maelstrom Colossus, Primeval Spawn and Two-Headed Hellkite provide the board. Ramos is a mana battery that turns multicolored spells into WUBRG to fund Conflux, Invasion of Alara and other expensive payoffs. Bolas's Citadel and Simic Ascendancy offer secondary value and alternate win paths. Maelstrom Nexus is the hidden commander the deck most wants to find.
