Format: Commander

Commander: Tony Stark // The Invincible Iron Man

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Izzet artifact-tokens deck is helmed by Tony Stark // The Invincible Iron Man, a dual-faced commander who starts as a cheap dig engine on front (tap to look at the top four and put an artifact into hand) and transforms into a hasty 5/5 flier that cheats an artifact from your hand onto the battlefield each combat. The primary game plan is to ramp into the transformation, then leverage the back side's repeatable "enters-the-battlefield" drops alongside a dense token-copy suite - Extravagant Replication, Replication Technique, Stolen Identity, Flash Photography - to amass an overwhelming board of artifact creatures and value permanents. Win conditions include combat damage from evasive attackers (The Vision, Iron Man, Master of Machines, Bobblehead tokens) and the alternate win from Mechanized Production or the extremely unlikely Luck Bobblehead dice roll. The deck is moderately dependent on its commander for card selection and tempo, but the artifact-copy engine can still function without it.
