Deck overview

This Boros deck combines Dwarf tribal synergies with an aggressive Equipment Voltron strategy led by Dwalin, Weaponmaster. The game plan centers on deploying low-cost Equipment early, casting Dwalin on Turn 2, and utilizing hone counter triggers to scale the power of all controlled armaments on every attack. Equip-cost reducers and cheat enablers such as Forge Anew, Puresteel Paladin, and Bruenor Battlehammer bypass high equip costs on powerhouse artifacts like Colossus Hammer and Two-Handed Axe. By stacking power boosts, hone counters, and double strike enablers like Reyav, Master Smith and Halvar, God of Battle, the deck rapidly scales Dwalin into a lethal commander damage threat. While the deck relies heavily on combat and must eliminate opponents across consecutive turn cycles, dense protection spells like Blacksmith's Skill, Mithril Coat, and Lightning Greaves safeguard the primary threat from removal. Redundant Dwarf combat leaders ensure steady pressure even if the commander faces disruption.
