Deck overview

This deck is a Bant +1/+1 counters and proliferation midrange strategy led by Tidus, Yuna's Guardian. The game plan focuses on establishing early modified creatures, augmenting them with counter amplifiers like Hardened Scales and Ozolith, the Shattered Spire, and casting Tidus to generate steady card draw and board-wide proliferation through combat. In the mid-game, the deck accumulates substantial power across a wide board while drawing replacement cards via Bred for the Hunt, Fathom Mage, and Tidus's Cheer ability. The deck transitions into a lethal threat around Turn 6 by resolving evasion and overrun effects such as Herald of Secret Streams, Chocobo Knights, or an asymmetric wipe like Damning Verdict. While vulnerable to mass exile effects and lacking fast combo finishes, the deck possesses high internal redundancy, strong counter preservation through Resourceful Defense and Luminous Broodmoth, and reliable combat pressure that overwhelms opponents across two to three combat steps.
