Deck overview

Chatterfang, Squirrel General commands a lethal Golgari token swarm and aristocrats strategy designed to convert every token into an overwhelming creature army and repeatable removal. By replacing every token creation event with additional 1/1 green Squirrel tokens, Chatterfang turns routine utility cards like Tireless Provisioner, Peregrin Took, and Prosperous Innkeeper into explosive wide boards. The deck leverages these disposable bodies through engines like Skullclamp and Toski, Bearer of Secrets to draw deep into its library, while Chatterfang’s activated ability provides instant-speed board control. Victory is achieved either through overwhelming combat damage via Craterhoof Behemoth and Beastmaster Ascension, or through an infinite aristocrats sacrifice loop pairing Chatterfang with Pitiless Plunderer and drain effects like Blood Artist or Bastion of Remembrance. While the deck lacks stack-based countermagic and dedicated board protection, its redundant token generators, dense card flow, and resilient command-zone removal ensure formidable mid-game inevitability.
