Deck overview

This deck is a high-powered 5-color spellslinger list built around prepare creatures and noncreature spell recursion. Codie, Ravenous Codex doubles every prepared spell cast, providing explosive card draw, ramp, and removal. The primary route to victory bypasses the commander entirely through Displacer Kitten loops. Casting a prepared spell like Seething Song from Blazing Firesinger blinks the creature back to the battlefield prepared while generating surplus mana, creating an infinite mana and storm loop. The deck uses this infinite loop to draw its library with Ancestral Recall and burn all opponents with infinite Lightning Bolts, Grapeshot, or Crackle with Power. Backed by a premier suite of free counterspells like Force of Will and Fierce Guardianship, the list protects its win attempts effortlessly while sustaining high velocity.
