Deck overview

This Rakdos deck is led by The Great Goblin, blending kindred Goblin and Orc synergies with counter placement and aristocrat death triggers. The core game plan revolves around placing counters on Goblins, Orcs, and Armies—via Amass mechanics, Blight abilities, and equipment—to trigger the commander's 2-damage burn ability against opponents. Concurrently, sacrifice outlets and combat trades convert dying tribal creatures into steady impulsive card advantage through The Great Goblin's second ability. Token generators like Krenko, Mob Boss, Legion Warboss, and Dreadhorde Invasion maintain a continuous supply of fodder, while secondary payoffs such as Pashalik Mons, Boggart Cursecrafter, and Goblin Bombardment convert bodies into direct damage. The deck can assemble persist-based death loops with Putrid Goblin and Metallic Mimic, but it primarily closes games through compounding attrition and go-wide combat pressure by Turn 8.
