Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov Angel Reanimator strategy piloted by Shilgengar, Sire of Famine. The primary plan uses early self-mill, discard, and targeted graveyard tutors like Entomb and Buried Alive to load the graveyard with resilient, high-impact Angels. Deploying Shilgengar enables the pilot to sacrifice high-toughness Angels for large bursts of Blood tokens. For {W/B}{W/B}{W/B} and six Blood tokens, Shilgengar mass reanimates the entire graveyard at instant speed. Returned creatures enter as Vampires with finality counters, overwhelming the table with static buffs from Righteous Valkyrie and Lyra Dawnbringer, indestructible protection from Avacyn, Angel of Hope, and life drain from Mirkwood Bats. If the commander is disrupted, redundant reanimation spells like Living Death, Reanimate, and Victimize provide independent recovery lines to maintain pressure and close the game.
