Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir Spellslinger and Reanimator strategy piloted by Vohar, Vodalian Desecrator. In the early turns, Vohar filters your hand, chips away at opposing life totals, and fills the graveyard with high-impact instants, sorceries, and large creature threats. The deck builds mana velocity using dense two-mana artifact ramp and cost reducers like Curious Homunculus and Haughty Djinn. Once your graveyard is stocked, the midgame transitions into powerful spell-recursion loops using creatures such as Arcane Proxy, Halo Forager, Victor Timely, Wily Tycoon, and Emet-Selch of the Third Seat. Large payoffs including Consuming Aberration, Hidetsugu and Kairi, and Fandaniel, Telophoroi Ascian create an overwhelming board presence and apply relentless life drain to the entire table. A suite of cheap countermagic and targeted removal protects your engines while answering opposing threats. The deck closes games through compounding spellslinger burn, repeated reanimation, and lethal combat damage over several decisive attack rotations.
