Deck overview

Chief of the Wilds leads a Golgari Wolf-tribal deck that turns Wolf tokens into a +1/+1 counter snowball. The primary plan is to cast Chief early, follow with Wolf generators such as Ranger Class, Garruk Relentless, Nightpack Ambusher, and Hollowhenge Overlord, and let Chief's doubled triggers flood the board with counters. Secondary paths are Garruk planeswalker overruns, Sarulf as a one-sided reset, and Kindred Dominance to clear non-Wolves. The commander is the engine and counter sink, but the deck can still generate Wolves and draw cards without it. There is no true hidden commander; Garruk Relentless acts as a secondary Wolf-making tutor. The deck wins through trample-enhanced combat, usually with Unnatural Growth or Return of the Wildspeaker.
