Deck overview

This deck is an explosive Izzet Spellslinger strategy led by Neera, Wild Mage, designed to cheat massive game-ending spells into play and chain noncreature triggers with Displacer Kitten. Early turns focus on establishing mana acceleration with artifacts like Sol Ring, Arcane Signet, and Talisman of Creativity. Once Neera hits the battlefield on Turn 5, casting low-cost cantrips such as Ponder or Opt immediately spins into high-impact payoffs like Omniscience, Thousand-Year Storm, Arcane Bombardment, or Call Forth the Tempest. When paired with Displacer Kitten, casting noncreature spells repeatedly blinks Neera to reset her once-per-turn restriction, allowing rapid library excavation. Magecraft and burn engines including Guttersnipe, Vivi Ornitier, Niv-Mizzet, Parun, and Sorcerer Class quickly convert spell chains into lethal table-wide damage by Turn 7. Backed by free protective spells like Deflecting Swat and Fierce Guardianship alongside premier countermagic, the deck possesses lethal momentum and resilient backup plans.
