Deck overview

This Gruul deck is commanded by Faldorn, Dread Wolf Herald and focuses on weaponizing impulse draw into a wide board of 2/2 Wolf creature tokens. The deck accelerates early using green ramp sorceries and artifact rocks to deploy Faldorn by Turn 3. It then chains exile-play spells like Light Up the Stage, Escape to the Wilds, and Bonehoard Dracosaur to maintain constant card advantage while swarming the battlefield. It closes out games using team-wide combat buffs such as Beastmaster Ascension, burn engines like Purphoros, God of the Forge and Passionate Archaeologist, or the infinite cast loop of Food Chain and Squee, the Immortal. Flexible removal spells like Beast Within and one-sided board wipes like Delayed Blast Fireball keep opposing boards under control, while Heroic Intervention shields key pieces from mass removal.
