Deck overview

This deck is an aggro-midrange battlecruiser deck built around Kaalia of the Vast. The primary game plan focuses on casting Kaalia ahead of curve using 2-mana artifacts such as Arcane Signet and Fire Diamond, then declaring an attack on Turn 4 to put massive Angels, Demons, and Dragons directly onto the battlefield tapped and attacking for free. Threats like Rune-Scarred Demon, Archangel of Strife, and Hoarding Broodlord rapidly build an overwhelming airborne clock while tutoring key follow-ups. A dedicated suite of cheap protection spells, including Valorous Stance, Shardmage's Rescue, and Timely Ward, keeps Kaalia alive against targeted spot removal. Because the deck lacks infinite combos and extra turns, it finishes the table across multiple combat steps, using Subjugator Angel to clear blockers and Orthion, Hero of Lavabrink to clone big beaters. The strategy is vulnerable to repeated commander removal and sweepers, but delivers explosive combat pressure when uninterrupted.
