Deck overview

This deck is an Esper battlecruiser strategy helmed by Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign. The primary game plan revolves around manipulating the top of the library to cheat high-cost, odd-mana-value spells into play for free on Yennett's attack trigger. By utilizing efficient setup artifacts and spells such as Sensei's Divining Top, Scroll Rack, and Brainstorm, the deck reliably lines up catastrophic payoffs including Void Winnower, Breach the Multiverse, Toxrill, the Corrosive, and In Garruk's Wake. The deck deploys mana acceleration on the early turns, casts its commander on Turn 4, and begins attacking on Turn 5. Cheated threats apply immediate asymmetric attrition and lock down opposing boards while massive evasive creatures close out the table by Turn 7. Robust backup options like Vesuvan Drifter and reanimation effects ensure the deck maintains high-end momentum even when opponents disrupt the commander.
