Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov Lifegain Combo deck commanded by Niv-Mizzet, Ghost Counsel. The primary game plan revolves around assembling the deterministic two-card infinite combo between Exquisite Blood (or Bloodthirsty Conqueror) and a lifegain-to-damage payoff like Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Sanguine Bond, or Enduring Tenacity. Once both permanents are on the battlefield, any instance of life gain or opponent damage creates an infinite loop that drains all three opponents to zero life in a single turn. The deck supports this win condition with a robust proactive hatebear suite featuring Drannith Magistrate, Blind Obedience, and Authority of the Consuls to slow opposing development, while Grand Abolisher, Voice of Victory, and Silence ensure safe combo execution. High-synergy card advantage engines such as Bolas's Citadel and the commander's own draw ability provide massive midgame velocity, making the deck resilient, consistent, and lethal.
