Deck overview

This deck is a classic five-color Dragon tribal strategy commanded by The Ur-Dragon. The primary game plan revolves around exploiting the commander's eminence ability from the command zone, which reduces the casting cost of all Dragon spells by one generic mana. Early turns prioritize fixing five-color mana and deploying cost reducers such as Dragonlord's Servant, Dragonspeaker Shaman, and Herald's Horn. By Turn 4, the deck begins deploying impactful Dragons ahead of curve. As the battlefield expands, damage amplifiers including Dragon Tempest, Shared Animosity, and Scourge of the Throne accelerate the clock, turning mid-sized flyers into lethal threats. When The Ur-Dragon enters combat, its attack trigger draws massive card advantage and cheats expensive permanents directly into play.
