Deck overview

This mono-blue deck uses Namor the Sub-Mariner to transform cheap noncreature spells into an army of Merfolk creature tokens. By leveraging low-cost cantrips and powerful card draw engines like Archmage Emeritus and Kindred Discovery, the deck rapidly inflates Namor's power while filling the battlefield with tokens. It locks down opposing mana bases with Harbinger of the Seas and Back to Basics, which also enables unblockable attacks through Islandwalk lords such as Master of the Pearl Trident. A formidable suite of free counterspells like Force of Will and Fierce Guardianship defends this game plan from sweepers. For an alternate win condition, the deck features an infinite mana and token loop via Isochron Scepter and Dramatic Reversal, alongside extra turn spells to close games swiftly.
