Deck overview

This mono-black deck centers on Syr Konrad, the Grim, converting creature deaths, milling, and graveyard movement into unavoidable direct damage against all opponents simultaneously. The deck aims to curve out into Konrad on Turn 5, then leverage mass mill spells like Dread Summons and group discard from Myojin of Night's Reach to trigger rapid life loss across the table. In addition to mill-based burn, the deck utilizes high-impact black finishers such as Massacre Wurm and Shredder, Shadow Master to punish creature-heavy boards and halve life totals through combat. Reanimation spells like Zombify and Evil Reawakened provide recovery and recur powerful threats. Because the list features high average mana costs, thin ramp, and light protection, it functions best in relaxed multiplayer environments where it can steadily grind down opposing life totals over multiple turn cycles.
