Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a mono-red Treasures-matter aggressive-combo deck helmed by Smaug the Magnificent. The primary plan is to amass a hoard of Treasure tokens, then use Smaug's haste-enabled attack trigger (which deals damage equal to the number of Treasures you control) as a scalable finisher. The deck supports this with a dense package of Treasure generators (Goldspan Dragon, Xorn, Academy Manufactor), red rituals (Seething Song, Mana Geyser), and extra-combat spells (Scourge of the Throne, Great Train Heist, Seize the Day) that let Smaug kill multiple opponents in a single turn. Damage multipliers (Twinflame Tyrant, Repercussion) and ETB pingers (Reckless Fireweaver, Warstorm Surge) provide alternative damage avenues. Alternative win conditions include Hellkite Tyrant (twenty artifacts) and Knuckles the Echidna (thirty artifacts). The deck forgoes traditional counterspells and relies on speed, redundancy, and back-up combo lines to close out games.
